TYPETUTOR
Privacy Notice
To create and manage an account, TypeTutor stores your name, email address and, if supplied, mobile number. Self-service registration creates an active learner account after you verify control of your email address.
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes and are never stored in plain text. If you enable two-factor authentication, a single-use email code is required after your password at each sign-in. Verification and password-reset codes are stored as one-way hashes, expire after 10 minutes and can be used once.
For account security, only one active sign-in is allowed per account. Completing a new sign-in replaces the earlier session, which will be signed out when it next contacts the service. A protected session token and an approximate browser/platform label are used to enforce this policy and explain which session remains active. Signing out removes the active token.
Typing drills and exam-format simulations run in your browser; typed text and results from those activities are not sent to or stored on the server. An in-progress practice draft and your practice-history summary may be kept in this browser so you can resume or review sessions. Your optional weekly practice goal and Hindi input-method reminder are also stored only in this browser. The custom-passage tool keeps pasted reference text in this tab’s session storage; use “Clear text in this tab” or close the tab to remove it. Finished practice history stores summary details, not the reference passage.
The ChatGPT prompt builder runs in this browser and does not automatically send anything to ChatGPT. If you copy a prompt to ChatGPT and submit it there, that use is governed by ChatGPT’s own privacy terms. Any existing generic timed-simulation attempt continued from a saved attempt link sends submitted text to this application’s server for scoring and stores the attempt and result. Security and account events may also be recorded to protect the service and troubleshoot access.
Contact admin@typetutor.in to request correction or deletion of your account details. Some records may be retained where needed for security or service operation.
